Vampires
So you want to be a vampire? At Blood Moon Valley vampires are not sparkly or guilt ridden leftovers. Vampires are undead, dangerous beasts that pass as human. But don’t mistake appearances. Vampires have little to no moral compass and will drink you try if they have the chance. The last thing you want to be is a vampire’s victim.
There are three classes of vampires. Modern, Master and Ancient.
Modern Vampires are up to 200 years old or less. Most of the active vampire population (80%) globally are modern vampires. Almost all the vampires in Blood Moon Valley are modern vampires.
Master Vampires are 200 to 900+ years old. The are rare and have little to do with modern society. They typically have a hoard of modern vampires that report to them but can just as easily be solo operators. Master Vampires make up roughly 15 percent of the global vampire population. There are only three allowed in Blood Moon Valley at any time.
Ancient Vampires are very rare and, as far as anyone knows, mostly out of the picture. The last known sighting of an Ancient Vampire was in Hungary at the end of World War I. Since then, there have been no sightings or even evidence of their existence. However, vampire scholars charge that there are some still around but completely hidden from the modern world. There is a rumour that one may be active in Siberia but as far as anyone knows, just rumours. Ancient vampires are over 1000 years old. There are no Ancient Vampires in Blood Moon Valley.
Vampire Attributes & Powers (Generally)

Geas Powers & Seduction
Endurance & High Healing
High Speed
Immune to most physical damage
Immune to most poisons/toxins and disease
High Charisma
Elite Level Comeliness (can change appearance to be more be beautiful or horrific)
Weaknesses
Sensitive to light (see below)
Must feed on blood (see below)
Hunted by some Warlocks & Witches
The Bloody End
A vampire can die of very traumatic injury (decapitation, crushed, severe silver poisoning, stake or silver through the heart and burning. Generally speaking a vampire can not drown, be killed by suffocation (as they don’t have to breathe) or be killed by lesser injuries due to their high healing factor.
However, vampires are very susceptible to magic from both witches and warlocks but witches magic in particular. Natural magic generated by witches can harm, defeat and kill vampires if used in enough force. There is very little to no defence a vampire has from natural magic therefore vampires either avoid, or if possible, ally with witches, if at all possible. Though the latter is very unlikely to occur. If a vampire drinks blood from a witch who actively uses magic it will result in sever blood poisoning for the vampire and can (depending on the power of the witch) result in instant death. Even touching a witches blood will burn any vampire.

Shape Changing (see below)
Don't have to breathe or eat (normally)
The scope of a vampire's powers depends on a few things. Their age, their bloodline and how well fed they are. Generally, most Modern Vampires have the strength of 3-5 normal, athletic humans. They can also move 2-3 times as fast. This ticks up as they get older. By the time they reach Master Vampire status, they are 10 times as strong and fast as normal human beings. (This assumes they are well fed, not injured and in good health).
A Modern Vampire can use something called a geas to manipulate and seduce others (humans) into doing their will but it takes a lot of effort and can only be sustained for an hour or so. A new vampire (less than a year old) can not use the power of geas. As a vampire gets older this can be stretchered out much longer. If a vampire sleeps or is injured they can not use their geas power. The primary use of the geas is to feed as they can use this power to have their victim forget the event and become willing to offer their blood in the first place.

Weaknesses
Sensitive to light (see below)
Must feed on blood (see below)
Hunted by some Warlocks & Witches
Severely allergic to all things silver. Can be lethal.
Severe Weakness vs Magic
Fire Weakness
Cold/Cool Skin (To touch)
Can not enter a witches house without verbal permission. (This also applies to human who do not realise they carry witch blood).
Effects of Daylight on Vampires
All vampires can tolerate being in daylight but as they get older they become more & more sensitive to it. A new vampire can live life under the sun pretty normally but will suffer from slight sunburn and minor headaches. Master Vampires can be in the sun but mostly avoid it due to severe migraines and bad sunburn if in direct light although indirect day light is very tolerable. It is not known how Ancient Vampires tolerate daylight but they mostly avoid if at all possible. Both Modern & Master vampires are considerably weaker during the day hours. During these times they are not much stronger than normal humans.
Blood Thirst
All vampires must feed on blood of warm blooded animals or other vampires blood. Humans are their favourite and they attain the most power from human blood. A vampire does not have to kill it’s prey but often will accidentally, even if the blood is given willingly.
Vampires can survive on blood from blood banks but the blood must be less than one month (28 days) old otherwise it will not sate them or save them from dying.
Blood thirst controls a vampire’s life. Blood sustains them and fuels their unearthly powers. Younger (Modern) vampires must feed at least once a week or face dying and their urge is sometimes wild and dangerous as it takes years so control it. Master Vampires can go up to a month before feeding but in waiting so long they can become much weaker than normal (though still more powerful than humans or modern vampires). Ancient Vampires, according to legends, can go without blood for a year or more but as with Master Vampires they become weaker the longer they wait.
If they wish so, both Master & Ancient vampires can go into a sort of hibernation. This hibernation is a deep sleep and while in hibernation, they do not need to feed. A Master Vampire can hibernate several decades depending on how well they feed before hand. An Ancient Vampire can hibernate for centuries or even millennia. However, when and if a hibernating vampire wakes they must eat within 24 hours or die. If someone unwittingly wakens a hibernating vampire, they will usually end up as it’s meal.
