Warlocks tap into the forces of darkness to give themselves power and prestige. They use said dark forces to create spells, bolster their physical strength and attain tremendous charisma. They are often rich and hold positions of great political or religious power. However, they avoid the military at all costs.
Warlocks hold their identity in great secrecy, even more so than vampires. Part of their influence over people is often based on false appearances and motivations. Often they will hold positions that hold the “moral high ground” over others in order to attain great flocks of followers.
Of all the classes, Warlocks have the highest potential to attain material wealth and rabid followers.
Normal human physical strength (unless modified via dark spells)
Can be harmed/die like normal humans
High risk takers often end up in prison or murdered
Can be irrational when not getting their way
Are hunted by vampires
The farther they get from their home base the weaker the become

Warlocks have a significant weakness. Once they attain a certain level of power/wealth, they attract the attention of high ranking vampires. If the vampires discover their secret they will often blackmail or use their power of geas to control a warlock for their own gain. Thus, vampires and warlocks are natural enemies that rarely work together.
Also, warlocks do not take on students/wards as they are naturally, almost irrationally, paranoid of betrayal.
Although males or females can be Warlocks, men make the majority of the class.
Powers and Attributes:
Always have High Charisma (despite physical appearance)
Warlocks can get their powers from two primary sources (although they are actually the same just in different forms/magnitude.)

In your application as a warlock please indicate up to 3 spells your character can use and any time and up to 2 they can use after small amount of time 1-2 minutes of preparation. Also, please indicate any dark/blood weapons/artefacts they keep on their person. One only and please give a detailed explanation of the device in your application. Unless otherwise stated (or special permission granted) most spells can only be used once a day.
Warlocks can, once a day turn invisible for up to ten minutes. For each year they are older than 40 years old adds another minute to the total time allowed. Although they can still be detected through sound, smell and other methods if they are not careful. If they are harmed while invisible they will become visible.
In addition to the above, all warlocks can use an Eldritch Blast that will cause high powered, blood/dark damage to any creature, witches or humans around them. It does not harm vampires but it stuns them and makes them weaker for a few seconds. A witches protective spell will negate the effects of an Eldritch Blast. The amount of damage from the Eldritch Blast will depend on the age/education of the warlock in question. This power can be use once every 15 minutes.
Finally, once a day Warlocks can teleport back to what they consider their home. (Usually where their dark magic altar is.)

A Simple Warlock can attain power from books, tomes and spells attained through various methods created from other warlocks. However, all of these methods require a huge deal or research, time and money to attain. These methods also require a blood sacrifice. The amount of blood required depends on the scope of the ritual/ incantation. A basic simple spell might could just require the blood of small animal or even some of the warlocks on blood. From there the costs goes up to human sacrifices. That said, basic warlocks rarely use this level of power.
Simple warlocks are often gamblers, criminals, crooked athletes, and local politicians/leaders.
Master Warlocks were once simple warlocks that have agreed to pledge their soul to a demon. In return, the demon will give the warlock great powers during their earthly life. Mater Warlocks are massively powerful and often rise to great levels of power, influence and material wealth.
Since Blood Moon Valley is small to medium sized town, there is only room for two master warlocks. However, if you choose to be a master warlock be prepared to provide a very detailed RP application explaining their entire life especially how they attained their powers. Your character will have to be older than 40.

The Falling
Once a master warlock approaches fifty years old, they experience something called “The Falling”. The Falling is a process all master warlocks go through when they realise they have less time to live than they have already lived. This often causes paranoia when the warlock realises that soon a demon will come seeking its due. At this point warlocks will begin looking for way to extend their lives and make themselves immortal. This will consume them as they get older and they often die desperate, scared, and alone. All master warlocks lose their soul in the end.
